Frequently asked questions

What exactly is ReadHero?
ReadHero is your personal reading companion. It is an app I built to help you organize your library, track your progress, save meaningful notes, and visualize your reading habits through beautiful statistics and challenges.
Who is behind this app?
That would be me, Dennis! I am an indie developer originally from Austria 🇦🇹 and I currently live and work in Germany 🇩🇪. ReadHero is not a project from a big company. It is a solo project I am pouring my heart into to create the best reading tracker available.
Is an Android version coming?
I hear you. Since I am a solo dev I have to take things one step at a time to keep the quality high. An Android version is definitely in the plans for the future but it will take some time as I am currently focused on making the iOS version the best it can be.
Do I need an account?
No, you don’t need an account. I also dislike creating an account for every app just to try it, so you can start using the app right away without signing up.
Can I move my books from Goodreads or StoryGraph?
Absolutely. I know how important your reading history is. You can import your data from Goodreads, StoryGraph, and several other platforms. Just export your library as a csv file and you can import everything into ReadHero under Settings with a single tap.
Why are there no ads?
Because I hate them too. I want your reading experience to be peaceful and focused. I have committed to keeping ReadHero ad free. Instead of selling your attention to advertisers I rely on the support of our Premium users to keep the project running.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, you get a 3-day free trial with no charge.

As a thank you, you can also use this link to unlock an extended 3-month free trial: redeem offer
How can I support your work?
Beyond the Premium subscription, the biggest support is honestly word of mouth. Sharing ReadHero with friends or leaving a kind review on the App Store makes a huge difference for an indie developer like me.

With a subscription, you also help cover the ongoing costs of the app, which I try to keep as low as possible. I also really appreciate hearing your feedback directly.
